About Elizabeth Connell
Experience Matters
There are times when the other party places profits or other gain over people and pushes a case towards trial instead of settlement or a reasonable plea agreement. Having an experienced trial attorney in your corner is important. With over 20 years of experience, Liz has established herself as a highly skilled, tenacious, and insightful litigator in both criminal defense and personal injury matters. Liz approaches her cases with compassion, focusing on the client and tailoring each case to their individual needs. She has dedicated her career to representing the rights of others in multiple jurisdictions in Maryland, Colorado, and Federal Court.
Liz worked for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Anne Arundel County, Charles County, Calvert County, and Baltimore City representing indigent clients accused of serious felony offenses, including homicides, sexual assaults, and other violent crimes. She managed a high-volume caseload and handled all aspects of criminal defense from pre-trial to post-trial litigation. She has significant jury trial experience, developing her trial skill set over the course of over 20 years. Liz gained invaluable experience and training as a Colorado Public Defender and continued to hone her skills while in private practice. She left the Office of the Public Defender and worked at a personal injury firm in Baltimore, focusing primarily on representing those injured in automobile accidents. She successfully negotiated settlements and tried personal injury cases in numerous counties in Maryland such as Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, Howard County, Prince George's County, and Baltimore City. In addition to reaching favorable settlements and verdicts in civil matters, her knowledge, experience, and superior trial skills helped garner favorable results in criminal matters such as the following:
